Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by websites you visit. They are stored by your web browser and allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits. Cookies are a standard technology used by virtually all websites and are essential for many basic website functions, such as keeping you logged in.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are used on Pedapub, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further details on how we handle personal data.
Types of Cookies
Cookies can be categorized in several ways:
- Session cookies are temporary and are deleted from your device when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you navigate the site.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them manually. They are used to remember your preferences between visits.
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting (in this case, Pedapub) and can only be read by that website.
- Third-party cookies are set by a domain other than the one you are visiting. On our platform, third-party cookies are limited to those set by Cloudflare for security purposes.
Cookies We Use
Below is a detailed list of cookies used on Pedapub, grouped by purpose. We do not use any advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them, core features such as user login and form submission would not work. They cannot be disabled.
- PHPSESSID — a session identifier that maintains your login state and session data as you navigate the site. This is a first-party session cookie that is deleted when you close your browser.
- cookie_consent — stores your response to the cookie consent notice so that it is not displayed again on subsequent visits. This is a first-party persistent cookie that expires after 1 year.
- CSRF token — embedded in forms to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks. This is a session-based security mechanism and is not stored as a standalone cookie, but within your session data.
Security Cookies
These cookies are set by our security and infrastructure providers to protect the platform from automated abuse and attacks.
- __cf_bm — set by Cloudflare to distinguish legitimate human visitors from bots. This is required for Cloudflare's Bot Management feature. It is a third-party cookie that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- cf_clearance — may be set by Cloudflare Turnstile, the CAPTCHA alternative used on our login and registration forms, to remember that you have already passed a security challenge. This is a third-party cookie with a limited lifespan.
Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party cookies on Pedapub are those set by Cloudflare as described above. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any other third-party tracking technologies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising.
Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. All major browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Please note that if you block essential cookies (such as the session cookie), you will not be able to log in to your account or use features that require authentication.
For instructions on managing cookies, consult your browser's documentation: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Your Consent
When you first visit Pedapub, a cookie consent notice is displayed at the bottom of the page. By clicking "Accept," you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy. Essential and security cookies are necessary for the platform to function and are set regardless of your consent preference, as permitted under applicable law. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting cookies from your browser and revisiting the site.
