Physical education and sport are not only central to physical development, but also to students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and lifelong wellbeing. Across schools, universities, and community settings, there is growing interest in how movement-based learning, quality teaching, inclusive practice, teacher education, and evidence-informed innovation can strengthen educational experiences and outcomes.

This special issue seeks to bring together original, high-quality, and internationally relevant contributions that examine physical education and sport from an educational perspective. We welcome studies that address teaching and learning processes, curriculum, teacher development, inclusion, student engagement, health promotion, physical literacy, and movement-related educational experiences across different age groups and contexts.

Suggested themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Physical education pedagogy and curriculum development
  • Sport pedagogy and innovative teaching approaches
